YOUR HOME FOR LIVE MUSIC IN COOPERSTOWN, NEW YORK

East Nash Grass – Sunday, March 9

East Nash Grass is one of the hottest young bands in bluegrass today. Named 2024’s Best New Artist by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA), East Nash Grass “brings swagger, staggering instrumental abilities, and high energy to every performance.”

AWARD-WINNING BLUEGRASS BAND EAST NASH GRASS TAKES THE STAGE IN COOPERSTOWN. Nashville’s newest bluegrass ambassadors come to The Otesaga Hotel.

Nashville’s newest bluegrass ambassadors, East Nash Grass is a remarkable ensemble of accomplished, “monster players and performers”. The band’s resume includes numerous high-profile award wins and nominations – for both the band and individual members, as well as high-profile gigs including the Grand Ole Opry.

Featuring some of Nashville’s hottest young pickers, the band of musical all-stars includes: James Kee (guitar), Cory Walker (banjo), Harry Clark (mandolin), Gaven Largent (dobro), Maddie Denton – Grand Master Fiddle Champion (fiddle), and Jeff Partin (bass). Several of the band members also have been recognized with IBMA awards as Best Instrumentalists.

The group refined their craft together with countless performances on intimate stages in East Nashville, while also playing as highly in-demand musicians for some of the biggest names in the genre.

East Nash Grass has caught the attention of the biggest names in bluegrass music, with rave reviews. “Out of the Wilds of East Nashville came this band of ringers, each of them playing in National high profile Bluegrass bands,” says Grammy-winning artist Jerry Douglas. “The sound they make when they play together rivals that of any of their main gigs…The National high profilers better hang on tight! East Nash Grass is on the move.

If you’re coming to see East Nash Grass, we hope you’ll join us in the Cooperstown Concerts Lounge, a welcoming place to purchase beverages and enjoy the company of new and old friends, as the performance unfolds. The Lounge, located directly across the hall from the concert space, opens at 2:30 PM and is offered in partnership with the Otesaga Hotel.
