Cooperstown Concerts, formerly Cooperstown Concert Series, was founded in 1970 as the Arts Project Committee of the Women’s Club of Cooperstown, but since 1979 it has been an independent, not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to present live music events that promote cultural growth in the greater Cooperstown area. To date, over 300 professional performances and other events spanning the widest variety of the performing arts have been presented by our all-volunteer organization.
Our ALL VOLUNTEER “staff” of approximately 10-15 individuals possesses an impressive range of skills, experiences and interests, but most especially a commitment to the betterment of our community. Our group works year-round to do everything from selecting the artists to stage-managing the performances to marketing and promotion.
Cooperstown Concerts represents community service at its finest. Our volunteers continue year after year to further the goals of the organization, in ways big and small, for no other reward than the satisfaction of bringing top quality performing arts to the area for the benefit and enjoyment of its people.
