YOUR HOME FOR LIVE MUSIC IN COOPERSTOWN, NEW YORK

String Mastery and Standing Ovations
on a Sunday Afternoon

What an unforgettable kickoff to the 2025–2026 Cooperstown Concerts season!

On a stunning fall afternoon, music lovers gathered at the beautiful Fenimore Farm & Country Village for “Pickin’ on Sunday” a powerhouse celebration of stringed instruments and sensational live performances. The event brought together the magic of live music and the warmth of community in the most picturesque setting imaginable.

And if the multiple standing ovations were any indication, this show was a stunner. It didn’t just entertain it blew us away. Check out videos and photos below

The season opener featured a double-billing with two outstanding acts, each hailing from the Central New York area: the dynamic father-son guitar duo Loren and LJ Barrigar and the high-energy progressive rock trio Follow the Muse.

Loren Barrigar, a globally acclaimed fingerstyle guitarist, and his highly talented son LJ lit up the stage with their picking technique, original compositions, and fresh takes on timeless classics. Their artistry and pure joy in performing captivated and charmed the audience. Then came Follow the Muse, turning up the heat with high-energy, genre-blending music and jaw-dropping musicianship. Led by the charismatic Nick Piccininni, the trio’s virtuosic blend of Americana and Roots Rock ignited the crowd with Nick on guitar, fiddle, or banjo, plus Josh Crossman on bass and Nate Keida on drums.

And just when we thought the afternoon couldn’t get any better The Barrigars and Follow the Muse took the stage together for a spontaneous encore collaboration that brought the house down, and the audience to its feet! It was utterly unforgettable.
