What an incredible evening of celebration, positivity, and pure fun! Electro-rock band Jimkata wasted no time getting the party started when they took the stage in Cooperstown on February 21. With their unique blend of alternative rock, synth-pop, and electronic influences, Jimkata captivated the crowd at The Otesaga Hotel. Their incredible music and energy filled the large dance floor and kept us moving all night.
The concert was part of the band’s tour celebrating the release of their latest album, Running in Place. The performance showcased Jimkata at the top of their game as they delivered a transformative concert, with their dynamic presence, adventurous music, and improvisational jamming. The band’s high-energy performance and connection with the audience created a truly electric atmosphere.
Originally from Oneonta and Ithaca, Jimkata has garnered critical acclaim and a large fan base nationwide – and it’s easy to see why. It was a true musical joyride having them with us in Cooperstown.
“Cooperstown Concerts’ recent Jimkata show at The Otesaga was just what we needed. Nothing brings the locals out like hometown talent. The energy in the room was more like that of a family reunion but with laser lights under chandeliers. It was a welcome incentive to two-step out of winter hibernation. So glad we did – Loved it!”

Electro-rock band Jimkata performed a high-energy show to a sold-out audience of fans from all stages of their 20-year career, including family and friends from their hometown of Oneonta. The ballroom at the Otesaga was transformed into a lively concert venue, with pulsing lights, non-stop dancing, and tables for those who wanted to enjoy the concert from a seat. Jimkata performed songs that ranged from jam-band vibes with guitar solos to singalongs like “Night Shade.”
