Harvest & Rust – A Neil Young Experience Comes to The Otesaga Resort Hotel
COOPERSTOWN, New York – December 4, 2024 – Get ready for an extraordinary evening that will take you straight into the heart and soul of Neil Young’s music. On February 1, 2025, at 7:30 PM, the celebrated tribute band Harvest & Rust will bring Neil Young’s timeless music to life at The Otesaga Resort Hotel as part of 2025’s beloved Cooperstown Winter Carnival. The concert is presented by Cooperstown Concerts, your home for live music.
From the moment the first chords ring out, you’ll be captivated by the band’s ability to channel Young’s raw, emotive energy. Expect to be taken on a journey through Young’s incredible six-decade career, with setlists that include everything from Harvest’s acoustic gems (Heart of Gold, Old Man), to the electrifying anthems of Rust Never Sleeps (Hey Hey, My My) and collaborations with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and Buffalo Springfield. You’ll feel the intricate guitar work, soaring harmonies, and poignant storytelling that define Young’s music.
The band delivers a performance that goes beyond imitation, celebrating the spirit of a true music icon. You’ll be transported as Harvest & Rust masterfully recreates a wide range of Young’s groundbreaking and influential material, covering every era of his career beginning in the 1960s and continuing today.
As you listen, you’ll be reminded why Young is considered one of the most creative, fearless, and influential artists in rock history with profound lyrics that touch on personal, social, and political themes and music that ranges from folk and acoustic ballads to electronic rock and grunge.
“Neil Young is such an iconic figure with broad appeal across generations of music lovers that we wanted to bring a world-class tribute band to Cooperstown to honor this living legend,” said Randy Smith, Board President, Cooperstown Concerts. “Harvest & Rust – A Neil Young Experience is a premiere tribute band and we’re thrilled to have this dynamic band headline the live music at the Cooperstown Winter Carnival.”
While challenging for any band to represent the extent of Young’s music in one show, that’s exactly what Harvest & Rust does. With over 1,100 Young songs to choose from, the band is known for never playing the same setlist twice, staying true to Young’s spontaneous style, ensuring every performance is fresh and unique.
Whether you’re a lifelong fan or this is your first exposure to Neil Young, this performance will let you experience Young’s enduring legacy in a way that feels intimate and alive.
While at the concert, you can also join us in the Cooperstown Concerts Lounge, a welcoming place to purchase beverages and enjoy the company of new and old friends, as the performance unfolds. The Lounge, across the hall from the concert space, opens at 6:30 PM and is offered in partnership with the Otesaga Hotel. Concert doors open at 7:00 PM.
